I recently found this restaurant and have been here more than 3 times. Addiction is the word. Go on Wednesday for bingo!! A New Orleans vibe with hot sauce bottles on the back walls. The food!! I have tried and been satisfied by everything on the menu, except for everything made with pork. The corn bread, fries, steak, catfish, chicken, grits ALL made with love and flavor. Will I be back, you can believe it!!!

Welcoming and comfortable feeling! Waitstaff is very attentive! Drinks are great and mix well with the food choices. Great little find in the neighborhood. The chicken biscuit dish was scrumptious! Luke behind the bar....awesome!

What an absolutely treat of a hidden gem. That term is probably tossed around a lot but living in Long Island these days means I don't often find myself that far into Brooklyn much let alone in the hunt for food but my friend and I randomly found Catfish on google maps and figured we'd give it a try. The mood, the lighting, the service, the chefs, the food, the drinks, the prices, THE FOOD.. I could go on but it's safe to say if you like well flavored slightly spicy food for great prices and in a really relaxed setting, give this place a try. I'd absolutely go out of my way to make a visit if the time permits, it's so worth it.

Went on a weekday evening around 530, just my spouse and I. Seats were plentiful. Music was jazzy. Place was cozy. No draft even when seated by door. The staff was attentive. Very friendly. There's a bar across from the tables and chairs. Happy hour was just about to end and the waiter made it a point to let me know this and that the drinks were 2 dollars off. Very thoughtful. A lot to choose from in the menu. Wide variety of appetizers and sides to choose from. The entrees were different (In a good way). I got the chicken fried steak, with garlic cheese grits, green beans and country gravy. Steak is only prepared one way, well done(at least that's what I was told), the steak was ok. The grits was Perfect!! Also got the roasted chicken(half) that comes with the collard greens a biscuit topped with gravy. The chicken was well cooked seasoned well. The gravy on top of the biscuit was heaven. You must get the baked mac and cheese!!(with either bacon bits or crawfish) All and all the service was quick and the bill was moderate. Reccomend for a quick bite, nice meal with coworkers, casual date.

Overall rating: 4.8 NOTE: This review is based off of visits between Dec 2021 - Apr 2022. Menu has changed since then & majority is no longer accurate based on recent visit. — I have been here 8 or so times for Bingo Wednesday. I’ve had the following: - Shrimp & Grits: really good but sometimes greasy & oily. Unfortunately, it has never been the same twice. Sometimes the shrimp is burnt, sometimes it’s not. It is a large portion which I appreciate. - Kale Salad w/ Shrimp (not pictured): my current favorite. The dressing is very nicely evenly distributed. I really like the shaved Parmesan and flavored shrimp. - Gumbo: I wish there was more sausage. A very, very large portion & sometimes very oily. Definitely took some home for the next day. - Mac & Cheese (not pictured): First get it with bacon bits. Second, I have insider knowledge that if you get it to go .. it’s a larger portion than if you eat it there - Bingo: oh the lovely vibes. Some prizes include grab bag, a free shot, a free drink & a 25 gift card. I have still yet to win (even though I’ve been going for a few months). BUT it’s worth it. Also the “host” / bingo caller is all you need on a rainy day. The staff is wonderfully friendly. I’ve only knocked a few stars because the food isn’t that consistent in taste. Really good energy & gives you a great community bar.

Had a really great meal here. I had the crawfish etouffee, and the collard greens. There service was really friendly and quick, and always checking to see if you need anything. The etouffee, was very good, I wish the portion of rice was just a little bigger but the good was delicious. Just the right kind of spice for me. The greens were quite smokey flavored, with a hint of sweetness that I could put my finger on to what it was. I had some bread pudding for dessert and that was great also. Not overly sweet, with a nice alcohol addition to it. A great experience. Came again with the rest of the family, and still great food and service. Highly recommend.
